There is this really strange and inexplicable feeling of satisfaction in being in a position of complete incompetence, of being a total novice in a field, in a position that is far removed from your proven expertise and carefully honed skills, in a role where people do not understand what you have done before (or you have no reason to fill them in) or just couldn't care.

It is liberating.

It keeps you young.

What is it you are doing now ? That's something I've dreamt of and still hope to accomplish some day.

OK, maybe in a fit of inspiration I painted a far more romantic picture than it really is :)

Anyways, I was an embedded systems programmer before. Now I sell telecom outsourcing services to BT.

One day I hope I will have the balls to call it all off and go become a teacher...

hi karra, this is abhi, we studied together. just happened to stumble upon your blog today so thought of dropping you a line. i am working in TCS. so i heard you did your MBA, any value add in that? i am thinking about it but currently having 9+ years work ex in IT am doing similar stuff to what MBA does (client interaction, team management, status ... crap :-) etc etc) so is your mba adding value. also million $ Q, compensation wise is it adding value as management employee. also any stock options? do reply ~abhi
